Considering a rhinoplasty?

What is a rhinoplasty?

Rhinoplasty, also commonly known as a “nose job”, is a procedure to change the structure and shape of the nose. It can alter the shape, length, size and proportions of the nose. It can also effectively improve breathing problems such as that related to previous trauma or a deviated septum.

What are some of the common reasons people undergo nose reshaping surgery?

Some of the more common reasons patients seek rhinoplasty surgery are due to a prominent hump, a disproportionate nasal tip, or a sense of their nose being too large for their face.

Is rhinoplasty surgery major surgery?

Absolutely. Having rhinoplasty surgery requires a general anaesthetic and can sometimes require an overnight stay in hospital. There is a significant recovery period associated with rhinoplasty surgery, including the use of an external nasal splint for 2weeks. Swelling often takes 12months to completely resolve.

What is the cost of rhinoplasty surgery?

The cost of rhinoplasty is individualised depending on the complexity of surgery required, as well as whether a medicare rebateable item number is applicable. A detailed quote will be provided following your initial consultation, and this will take into account surgeon fees, anaesthetist fees and hospital fees.
